The Adventures of Tintin was written by Georges Remi, who also went by the pen name Herge. Herge was born on May 22nd, 1907. Tintin was first written on January 10th, 1929. Tintin was first written in the Le Petit Vingtiemi (The Little Twentieth) newspaper. Then, Herge wrote a story about it. Tintin was based off of The Adventures of Totor which was written by Herge in 1926. Later, Herge was sent to do things in the Soviet Union which led to his first book, Tintin in the Land of Soviets. Herge went on publishing 23 more books. Herge passed away on March 3rd, 1983. Herge was almost done writing his last book, Tintin and Alph-Art. That book got published, and it left some of the sketches from Georges Remi. (Herge)
